Ripon Motor Sport Club - Riponian Rally 2009

Much to the regrets of the organising team we have to announce the cancellation of the Riponian Rally scheduled for this Sunday.

The following is a communication received from the Forestry Commission earlier today.

‘We have had a look at the roads that we can get to and unfortunately we do not feel that it is safe to run the rally in these conditions. We will therefore not be issuing a permission to hold the event this weekend.’

The UTS Group of companies are pleased to announce they are teaming up with North East Rally Team gibsonmotorsport for 2009 and will be the main sponsor of the team. The UTS Rally Team will compete for the AS Performance North of England Tarmacadam Rally Championship (NETRC). Lydden Hill revs up for round 2!

The 2009 Lydden Hill Motor Club 'Winter Series' will stage its second and final round of the mini-championship with an all-star line up expected to make the start line, this Saturday 7th February. The event has attracted a forty-strong list of competition from far and wide who will not only be battling for honours in the freshly ressurected LHMC organised Winter Series but also taking the chance to gain experience on the restructured 'Euro friendly' Circuit.
