VK Vodka Kick Rally Driver Steve Perez contested his first foreign WRC event and came away from Rally Catalunya with a creditable 23rd place overall after four days of intense competition in Spain.

Brands Hatch Indy 24th - 26th March

The three Hawk Kawasaki riders made a good start at the opening round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch this weekend (26th March). Two of the riders, Dean Thomas and Craig Coxhell left the two races at Brands Indy confidently placed in the top ten in the overall Championship table with youngster Peter Hickman making huge progress throughout the weekend.

Round 2 – The Brick and Steel Border Counties Rally, Jedburgh – Saturday 18th March 2006




After an impressive showing on the opening round following the long trip south for the Bournemouth-based Rallye Sunseeker, Scotsman Alistair Tough was hoping the relatively shorter trip to Jedburgh for the Brick and Steel Border Counties Rally would bear more fruit as he and co driver Ally Mackay contested round two of the Subaru Group N Trophy supported by Prodrive at the weekend.

Multiple National Rally Champion Marcus Dodd overcame the snow and ice of the Scottish borders and he took his Flitewise.com backed Hyundai Accent WRC to a superb victory on the Border Counties Rally this weekend. The Poole driver gambled on tyre choice for the last couple of rally stages in the Kielder forest, and the gamble well and truly paid off as he took a well earned 25 second victory from local runner up Barry Johnson.

The Malcolm Wilson Rally is always a popular event and this year was no different with over 150 competitors and a large reserve list.

Alistair Tough had coaxed his old navigator Dee Addison out of retirement as regular codriver Ally Mackay was competing with John Morrison. Dee suffered a back injury some 18 months previous but was keen, although apprehensive to get back into the hot seat.
