Shaun Woffinden and Inbal Edry's Fiat Rally Cup victory on the Pirelli International Rally this weekend was an extremely lonely affair.

The one-make championship suffered two casualties before the start with 2004 champion Tom Metcalfe pronounced unfit to start with a mystery illness and Alessandro Bordignon failing to place an entry in time for the Carlisle based event.

Top Shropshire rally driver James Wozencroft scored a convincing win on the second round of the BRC Stars of the Future Championship, the Pirelli Rally, as he and Manx co-driver Robert Fagg won by well over two and a half minutes in their Suzuki Ignis 1400.

PIRELLI NATIONAL RALLLY - DAY 2 BRC PIRELLI INTERNATIONAL RALLY 21/05/05




Kent’s Junior Rally Driver and Prospeed Motorsport Finalist Stefan Davis competed with co-driver Craig Burgess this weekend on the Pirelli National Rally which followed the British Rally Championship Round the Pirelli International. The event was a loose gravel forest event based outside the town of Carlisle and the crew had a mega nine and half hour journey up to Cumbria.

Historic Rally News ~ Preview, round four: Mutiny Historic Challenge

Competitors will head back to Wales for round four of the Armajaro MSA British Historic Rally Championship, the Mutiny Historic Challenge on Saturday 4 June.
After a foray onto asphalt for round three, it is back to some classic Welsh forest stages for a field of more than 60 cars in the historic element of the Llandrindod Wells-based event.

BTCC News ~ VX RACING FINISH DIFFICULT THRUXON EVENT ON A HIGH

VX Racing ended round two of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship on a high, with a double podium finish for Colin Turkington and Yvan Muller. The podium celebrations came at the end of a testing weekend for the team, with all drivers working hard to find a set-up for the VX Racing Astra Sport Hatch cars. Results from the first two races were mid-field rather than the team's usual podium finishes, with Turkington fourth and seventh in the first and second races respectively, and Muller sixth and third place. Third driver Gavin Smith suffered a run of bad luck, which culminated in a retirement in the final race.
