In the Chris Birkbeck Rallyschool Junior Rallycross Championship, the action throughout the year has been fast and furious providing plenty of wheel to wheel racing. As part of the sponsorship agreement with the Chris Birkbeck Rallyschool, the top three drivers in the Junior Championship at the end of the season are to be awarded a day’s test drive/tuition at their school with a leading driver from the World of Rallying.

Minicross Drivers Association Ltd and PSM Motorsport Ltd have today confirmed that the MDA Rallycross Championship for Procar 1600, Minicross and Revivals cars will come under the umbrella of the 2009 Rallycross Open Championship, to form an even stronger package next season. The move comes following a decision to expand the 2009 Open Championship to 8 events, featuring 16 points scoring finals next season using a new event format with the aim of spicing up the racing further.

Kumho Tyres MSA British Rallycross Championship - 06.07.08

Ulsterman Lawrence Gibson (Banbridge) produced an unbeatable mix of speed and reliability to win the fourth round of the Kumho Tyres MSA British Rallycross Championship at Croft today (July 6). Gibson's win with his MG Metro 6R4 was the first for a driver of a Group B car since June 2003 [when Pat Doran won at Anglesey's Trac Mon], and allowed Gibson to take a five point lead at the head of the championship with three events left to run.
