Bonner burns Bio' in world debut of Trident Iceni GT2 race car

John Price Rallying Tour of Epynt preview

There are two rounds of the 2005 GPR MSA National Asphalt Rally Championship still to run – and two drivers fighting for the overall title. Battle recommences on Sunday 2nd October when the flag drops on the Port Talbot Motor Club organised John Price Rallying Tour of Epynt and, indeed, Price himself is one of those involved in the offensive as he attempts to put his name on the trophy for what would be a record twelfth time.

MATADOR Tyres backed driver Craig Middleton put in a strong performance to finish inside the Top Twenty of Wales Rally GB, but the result was overshadowed by the tragic death of a leading competitor on the event. The accident brought the rally to a premature end on the final leg of the FIA World Championship rally.

Reigning British Rally champion, David Higgins has said that he will be going all out for the Group N win on the Wales Rally GB this weekend.

Although Higgins has had a difficult season to date in the BRC, as an independent entrant not registered for the FIA Production Car WRC, he does not have to keep in mind the need to score championship points and as such his aim is simple - to take the Group N victory.

Rd 6 - Philip White Tyres Ulster Rally, Armagh, 2/3 September



A right royal battle took place over the final four stages of the Philip White Tyres Ulster Rally. With 16 seconds between them and 21 stage miles left, Eugene Donnelly in the Toyota and Tim McNulty in the Subaru were oblivious to everything except their own personal duel. Spectators were left gasping at the sheer pace of the competition at the head of the field on this joint seventh round of the Pirelli Irish and sixth round of the Kwik-Fit Pirelli British Championships.

Andrew Nesbitt seized an early lead on the first stage of this year's Philip White Tyres Ulster Rally, the local man taking nearly 5 seconds out of the pursuit. Mark Higgins snatched back 4 seconds on the next one and Nesbitt struck trouble on the third when he overshot a junction and stalled the engine.
