Hannspree World Superbike Championship - Round Twelve, Imola



The Hannspree World Superbike Championship moved to the Imola circuit in Italy for round twelve of the series but any hopes that the Kawasaki Superbike Racing Team had of changing their recent misfortunes around weren't to be after another difficult weekend for the Paul Bird Motorsport team.

Making a welcome return to the 2009 Pirelli MSA Gravel Rally Championship for his local event, Charlie Payne (Ripon) and co-driver Craig Thorley (Pocklington) just managed to scrape victory on the final round of the series in this weekend's Trackrod Rally.

Following on the disappointment of retirement in his last two outings, Saltash rally driver Alan Cookson bounced back in style on the penultimate round of the 2009 Pirelli MSA Gravel Rally Championship by taking third overall on the Ludlow-based Sixty & Worcestershire National Rally which formed part of the Woodpecker Rally.

MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship - Round 10 Croft, North Yorkshire
Friday 11th to Sunday 13th September 2009


The 2009 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship in association with Pirelli pays its one and only visit of the season to the North East when Croft Circuit, North Yorkshire hosts rounds 20 and 21 of the 26 race series on Sunday September 13th.

RALLY TIME TRIAL, CHRIS BIRKBECK RALLYSCHOOL - 11TH OCTOBER

A new Rally Time Trial will be held for the first time on October 11th at the Chris Birkbeck Rallyschool.

The Ardent Building Supplies Rally Time Trial will be run by Whitby and District Motor Club featuring a mixed surface 2.5-mile stage at the north east venue. The event will raise money for the Daisy Chain Children's Charity and for the local Kilton Thorpe School.
